Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), General Secretary Xi Jinping’s proposal of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) has won a warm welcome form the international community, especially from countries along the routes. One of China’s key measures in pursuing all-round opening up in the new era, the initiative serves as an important platform for building a global community of shared future, and providing the world with a solution for common prosperity and development based on Eastern wisdom. Expounding on the guiding principles, rich content, goals, and methods behind the initiative, General Secretary Xi has pointed out the direction for further development, and mapped out a bright future for China.
