These include “What is ‘New’ about New China?”, “Days of Central Planning”, “Facing Intellectuals”, “Governing a Country” and “A New International Role”. It tells the history of China in Mao Zedong’s era, and helps readers understand where China has come from and where it is going, so as to better understand today’s China.
