This book focuses on China’s major road, bridge and tunnel projects over different periods since the founding of New China, as well as the technological breakthroughs achieved in this process. In particular, the book introduces the great contribution of these projects to the country’s economic development and public well-being since the 18th CPC National Congress, and the benefits of China’s technological innovation to the world. The first four parts present a complete highway network, while the last part introduces China’s efforts to promote infrastructure connectivity.
